Podcasting with Purpose.

We are thankful to share the gift of reading through our podcast, but many children around the world don’t know the joy of opening a book and escaping into the story. That’s why we have teamed up with Tandy Books and Room to Read, to support children’s literacy across the globe.

Tandy Books is the publisher of the new children’s alphabet book Journey from A to Z With Teacher Judy, available now at teacherjudy.com. For a limited time our listeners will receive a 20% discount with the code ABCStorySisters, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to support children’s literacy charity, Room to Read. Get your copy at teacherjudy.com with discount code ABCStorySisters.

You can also donate directly to our Room to Read fundraiser at the link below!

“Knowing how to read makes people safer, healthier and more self-sufficient, yet over 750 million people are illiterate and two thirds are women and girls. That’s why Room to Read’s innovative model focuses on deep, systemic transformation within schools in low-income countries during the two most critical time periods in a child’s schooling: early primary school for literacy acquisition and secondary school for girls’ education.” -Room to Read

Destigmatizing Dyslexia

We are committed to raising awareness and support for those living with dyslexia! Did you know that dyslexia affects 20 percent of the population and represents 80–90 percent of all those with learning disabilities? It is the most common of all neuro-cognitive disorders (Yale Center for Dyslexia and Creativity). Together we can break the stigma surrounding dyslexia, and celebrate each individual and unique path to discovering the joy of a good book! You can learn more and support research surrounding dyslexia by visiting the International Dyslexia Association! Want to dive in to one of Charlotte’s favorite books, written by a fellow mom of a child with dyslexia? Check out Arnie the Alligator by Erin Porter! Send us a photo with your book! For every copy purchased by our listeners, ABC Story Sisters will donate the cost of the book to benefit dyslexia research!
